Lardpony on Radio One!

Rob Da Bank just played 'Contains Mild Peril' on his Radio One show, and said some nice things. That's our first national radio play, brilliant!

ALBUM

The album is available from Reveal Records for £6 now.

The "unofficial" launch party last night was completely excellent. It was a very eclectic bill, featuring dark synthpop, crazy hardcore, trombones and... us. It all worked oddly well.

Now I'm going to sleep for about three (3) weeks.

Another confirmed date in the fairly distant future is at The Maze in Nottingham on July 15th with Chris Martin and two other bands.

The full TOUR should be announced this week sometime!

THE ALBUM!

THIS IS LARDCORE!

Release date: 17th April!

I'll get some photos up here ASAP (I don't own a camera, or they'd be here NOW), but for now KNOW THIS:

It will be on sale for the first time at our gig on Monday 17th April. The gig is at Derby Glasshouse (opposite the cathedral), with Concertina Turner, Aotea and The Death Of Artists.

I will be taking a box to Reveal Records in Derby this weekend.

It will be £5 from us at gigs etc., £6 including P&P online, and an UNKNOWN AMOUNT in Reveal - more on this after I've been in. Online orders will include free badges "while stocks last". Ha.

If you want to order via paypal, do so from the paypal button ON HERE! or email us at lardpony at gmail dot com if you don't / can't use paypal and we'll sort something out.

Oxford is Oxcellent

The gigs in Nottingham and Oxford with Bearsuit were both completely excellent. Oxford more so, because it was (we think) the first gig we've ever done to nobody we know AT ALL, and the audience reaction was fantastic! Oxford: full of lovely people and the sun was shining. Beer: slightly expensive.

We'll hopefully be back in Oxford soon, if the people we spoke to post-gig were anything to go by. Next time we'll have an album and more badges - the first print run of badges has now officially run out! They would be considered BEST-SELLERS if only we hadn't been giving them out for free.

Also, Bearsuit are completely brilliant live, especially recommended to people who like being unable to stop smiling for about 40 minutes... and who doesn't like that? Eh?

We're going back into the studio to do some more recording very soon. New songs are spewing from every orifice. Can anyone remind me how to write lyrics, please?
