char-i-tee

HELLO!

Whilst updating the GIGS page, I noticed that our next gig will be our 50th. That's like some kind of glorious half-century of GIG. We'll have to rock FIFTY TIMES as HARD in celebration.

Our next two gigs are charity alldayers, weirdly. One of them (4th December, First Floor) is raising money for The Padley Centre in Derby, and the other one (11th December, The Earl, Sheffield) is raising money for a donkey sanctuary. Donkeys are excellent, so that should be good, as long as none of the band turn into Bono.

The artwork for the album should be finished THIS WEEKEND and then we'll go into FACTORIES and have it made MILLIONS of times and sell it to people. Hopefully!

In unrelated news, the best album of 2005 is "Elephant Eyelash", by Why?

pod + cast = podcast

Hello!
What has happened? We played a gig in Sheffield, with the Schla La Las which was excellent. Our Sheff-o-buddies The Scarlet Tuesday played again, and they were even better than the last time. I think everyone had a good time, if not there will be questions asked. We played a new song called To The Power Of Love.

Post-Apocalytic Love Song has been featured on a PODCAST, called 'Not Your Usual Bollocks', which apparently has a good load of listeners. You can download it by clicking here, there's lots of other good stuff on there including a track by Why? who has made one of the best albums I've heard this year.

My throat is still a bit sore, but getting better I think. Our next gig is December 4th at First Floor, Derby, which is a charity benefit gig thing for the Padley Centre, which is a hostel of some kind. I haven't researched it in depth, but we will do our bit by rocking out and possibly writing a christmas song to play throughout December.
Goodbye!

Wednesday, November 2nd

Oh good! Now the pointless spam comments have moved to the news page... Does anybody with "web-knowhow" know any tricks to stop terrifying cyber-robots from repeatedly telling me about loans and poker?

I managed to get through the pain (using a medicine I call "whiskey") and do a decent job at the Bearsuit gig last night, but I'm having the rest of the week off work to make sure I get rid of this stupid virus once and for all. Hopefully the last remnants of pain will be shaken off by Saturday for the Sheffield gig.

It was a really good night, DDF, Voo and Bearsuit were all really, really good and our set went well. Moo (our "label boss", of Twinkie fame) brought cakes for the whole band and we had a chat about the album. The artwork is currently being finished off, and we're going to be sorting the final mastering etc. very shortly as well. We're aiming for a January release, followed by a ton of gigs (hopefully a full on TOUR!) in February sort of time.

Exciting stuff!
