hello! lardpony are a band from derby, england. they formed when tom (vocals, guitar) booked a gig for his "new band", despite not having any band members. roping in kristian (drums), mandy (keyboard) and dave (bass), they scrambled together one and a half practices before playing their first gig on july 21st 2003.
after a few gigs, dave decided that he was too forgetful to play bass, and returned to his position as lead singer / guitarist with plans and apologies, so tom and kristian's housemate nathan was called upon to step in. after a while, they decided to actually start practicing properly, and evolved into the slightly less shambolic band they are now.
they have branched out from derby to play in nottingham, sheffield, liverpool and leeds, and supported the research, boyracer, data panik, mirah, milky wimpshake, chikinki and yumi yumi.
